Scavenger, 13, stabbed by scavenger inside jeepney
A 13-YEAR-OLD scavenger was injured after he was reportedly stabbed by another scavenger in Quezon City on Wednesday.
Police said the victim was on board a commuter jeepney when he was stabbed at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and Betty Go-Belmonte Street in Barangay Kaunlaran at around 10 p.m.
Witnesses told the police that the suspect, identified only as alias “Maki,” boarded the jeepney and stabbed the boy with an ice pick on his back.
Another passenger alighted from the jeepney and sought assistance from barangay officials.
First aid responders brought the victim to the East Avenue Medical Center, where he is recuperating from his injury.
Police are conducting a manhunt against the suspect, who fled to unknown direction.
