SC suspends work on Eid’l Adha
THE Supreme Court (SC) has suspended work in all courts nationwide on July 20, 2021, Tuesday, in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
Eid’l Adha, one of the most important Muslim holidays, commemorates the willingness of prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah.
“In view of Proclamation No. 1189, series of 2021, declaring 20 July 2021 as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), there will be no work in all courts nationwide,” the SC said through its Public Information Office.
President Duterte has declared July 20, Tuesday, a regular holiday across the country in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.
“The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that 20 July 2021, Tuesday, be declared a national holiday, in observance in Eid’l Adha,” Proclamation No. 1189 read.
