THE Supreme Court (SC) on Monday came up with a memorandum order suspending work in the high court on June 29 and 30, considering the road closures and traffic rerouting that will be implemented in time for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

In Memorandum Order 91-2022, which Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo signed, the SC acknowledged that the traffic schemes to be implemented by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) would only cause “inconvenience” to personnel reporting for work.

Meanwhile, the Court of Appeals (CA), in Office Order No. 309-22-RSF and signed by Presiding Justice Remedios Salazar-Fernando, likewise suspended work in its Manila Station on the same dates.

Marcos’ oath-taking will take place at the National Museum in Manila.
