Sari-sari store owner shot dead in Batangas
A TRADER died in the hospital after being shot by an unknown gunman inside his sari-sari store Sunday in Sto Tomas, Batangas.
Sto Tomas Police Station top cop PLt. Col. Alfie M. Salang identified the victim as Nelson Manilay.
The incident was informed to authorities by the Saint Cabrini Hospital staff who told the Sto Tomas CPS personnel that they had admitted a victim of a shooting incident.
Initial investigations showed Manilay was sitting inside his sari-sari store in Bgy. San Felix, Sto. Tomas City, when tue suspect arrived, shot him repeatedly then fled.
The bloodied victim was pronounced dead on arrival at the St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
A dragnet operation was requested by the Sto Tomas CPS for the possible apprehension and identification of the suspect.
