LAKAS-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte continues to woo voters from Luzon.

Mayor Sara visited Pangasinan, Tarlac and Cavite over the weekend while her running mate former Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. held separate rallies in Eastern Samar and Leyte.

The two decided to campaign separately for the last stretch of the campaign in order to cover many provinces and cities.

In Tarlac, Governor Susan Yap called on her fellow Tarlaceños to support the vice presidential bid of the Davao City Mayor.

The reelectionist governor, who is running unopposed, also thanked President Rodrigo Duterte for always making sure that the province’s needs are met.

“Dito sa Tarlac, taos puso akong nagpapasalamat sa kanilang pamilya. Dahil kahit papaano, bumuhos ang mga proyekto dito, at alam ng mga mayors natin yan,” Yap said before some 3,000 people who attended the Joint Town Clustered Meeting – at the Sta. Ignacia Auditorium.

Just recently, Yap has endorsed the BBM-Sara presidential and vice presidential tandem after the UniTeam ticket campaign rally in Paniqui town.

Tarlac is the home province of the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., the political rival of Marcos’ father, the late president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

In Pangasinan, Barangay officials of the third district of the province expressed approval over Mayor Sara’s advocacies should she get elected as vice president in May elections.

Mayor Sara, who consistently leads pre-election surveys, is pushing for job generation, quality education, and peace and order as top priorities in her vice presidential bid.

Sergio delos Santos, 25, a secretary to the Sangguniang Kabataan president, said he agrees with Duterte’s priority platforms.

“Napakaganda po ng adbokasiya ng ating susunod na bise-presidente. Natututukan po ang mga pangangailangan ng ating mamamayan,” he said in a sortie held here hosted by congressional aspirant Rachel Arenas.

Delos Santos said Duterte’s plan to bring back the jobs lost at the height of the pandemic is the “most immediate” step that the country should take to ensure Filipinos can bounce back from the health menace which heavily weakened the country’s economy.

After Pangasinan and Tarlac, Mayor Sara joined Mayor Lani Revilla’s birthday concert at the Strike Gym, Bacoor Government Center.
