LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has vowed to push for the creation of more jobs as well as prioritize education and strengthen the country’s foreign exchange should she win in this year’s elections.

In the pilot episode of “Sara All 2022 Metro Manila Virtual Caravan” aired on Wednesday, Duterte outlined her vision and goals if elected vice-president.

“Nakatutok po tayo sa trabaho, at ‘yun din po ang gusto ni BBM (former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.). Maayos na edukasyon, dahil ‘yan po ang backbone ng magagandang trabaho at malalaking sweldo,” said Duterte, who is Davao City Mayor and chairperson of Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

Narrating how she was raised by her parents to value hard work and sincere public service, Mayor Sara said she adheres to just, equal, and honest governance.

“Dala-dala ko po ang turo sa akin ng mga magulang ko dito sa pagta-trabaho ko, paninilbihan ko sa syudad ng Davao. Sa aking pag ta-trabaho po, pantay-pantay ang lahat. Walang mayaman, walang mahirap, walang matanda, walang bata, walang babae, walang lalake, pare-pareho po silang Dabawenyo,” Duterte said. “Ganyan din po ang aking pangako sa aking trabaho, pare-pareho po lahat Pilipino.”

She added that her choice of Marcos as running mate is attributed to the latter’s broad experience in legislation and public administration. “’Yung experience po ni BBM na governor ng Ilocos Norte, 1 term sa House of Representatives, and 1 term sa Senado ay ‘yun po ‘yung nakita ko na malaki ang maitutulong sa pagta-trabaho niya as president of our country,” she said.

The name “Uniteam”, Mayor Sara said, was coined to “show and give face to the quote – ‘In unity there is strength’”.

Stressing the importance of a vibrant foreign exchange, she said local currency trading just among Filipinos is not enough but should be brought to a global scale through foreign investments for the country’s economic health.

“Hindi po pu-puwede na tayo lang po ang nagpapalitan ng pera dito sa loob ng Pilipinas. Mas importante po sa atin ang foreign investments, o ‘yung pera na nanggagaling sa ibang bansa na nilalagay nila dito sa loob ng Pilipinas,” she added.

This, Mayor Sara said, will earn investors’ confidence.

“Gusto po natin ipakita na malakas ang Pilipinas, safe and secure, at maging confident ang mga investors sa kanilang pera dito sa loob ng Pilipinas,” she said.

The “Sara for All 2022 Metro Manila Virtual Caravan” pilot episode on Facebook and YouTube was organized by the Philippine Councilor’s League – NCR Chapter.

It was attended by presidential aspirant Bong Bong Marcos, vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte, and senatorial bets – Senator Win Gatchalian, former Palace Spokesman Harry Roque Jr., former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, and former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar.
