PRESUMPTIVE vice president Sara Duterte wanted the people of Davao City to witness her inauguration.
In a statement, the incoming vice president announced that her inauguration will be on June 19 to be held in Davao City, where she is a Mayor for two terms.
According to Mayor Sara, the Davaoenos are among the Filipinos who witnessed her success and also helped her administration as well as supported her projects.
“While waiting for the proclamation, I already penciled in June 19 as the inauguration date in Davao City. Dabawenyos patience made me the public servant that I am today, it is only fitting to honor them the opportunity to witness the oathtaking,” Mayor Sara said.
Mayor Sara, the candidate of Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) was elected by more the 31 million Filiponos as the 15th vice president of the country.
She added, her inauguration was scheduled on an earlier date because she wanted to attend the inauguration of presumptive president Bongbong Marcos Jr.
