Sara sticking to BBM
SANTA Rosa City, Laguna – THE UniTeam is the only pairing that followers of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte should support in the upcoming elections.
Duterte, chairperson of the Lakas-CMD had this to say Friday after she was asked to react on the continued “pairings” that fans or followers do with her and the various presidential candidates in the May 2022 polls.
The lady mayor first expressed how thankful she is to those who prefer to vote for her as vice president, but stressed that she was sticking to her partner, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer former Sen. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
“Well, nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng mga supporters sa kanilang patuloy na pagsuporta and sa kanilang pagpapakita ng mainit na suporta sa akin,” Duterte said.
“At patuloy po akong nakikiusap at nananawagan sa kanila na suportahan po ang UniTeam ni Bongbong Marcos at Sara Duterte, maraming salamat,” Duterte said, before bowing to the reporters who interviewed her immediately after UniTeam’s grand rally at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex here.
Duterte has been consistent in her message of espousing unity among Filipinos – a message that has also been echoed by her poll partner Marcos.
Speaking of the UniTeam ticket, the lady official also gave an update on the status of senatorial candidate Robin Padilla.
According to Duterte, the popular actor, who has been a fixture in her sorties around the country, is now a guest candidate of the ticket.
“He is a guest candidate of the UniTeam,” Duterte said.
She said last month that Padilla asked permission from Marcos himself to campaign with them, a request that the presidential race survey leader agreed to.
