Sara a strong leader, woman – ISDA
BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A volunteer group member said Thursday Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is a strong leader, who despite being a woman can do so much for the country.
Dr. Catalino Calimbas, member of the “Inday Sara Duterte Ako (ISDA)” in Bataan and a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, said having Davao City Mayor Sara as vice president will ensure the continuity of the President’s anti-drug campaign, “Build, Build, Build” (BBB) program, among others.
“Dati na akong masugid na taga-suporta ng father niya, si President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Kaya nais kong ipagpatuloy ‘yung ginawa ng kanyang ama – ang pagsugpo ng droga, ang ‘Build, Build, Build’, at lahat ng magagandang ginagawa niya. Lahat ng ‘yun ay gusto kong ituloy upang ang bansa natin ay umangat,” Calimbas said during a quick “meet-and-greet” of Duterte with some local government representatives and volunteers at the ISDA headquarters here.
The presidential daughter, he said, has distinct qualities fit to be a defender of the country.
“May katangian siya na mas malaki pa sa kanyang ama dahil isa siyang matapang na babae na kayang ipagtanggol ang ating bayan. Sa kanya ako naniniwala dahil mataas ang mararating ang bansang Pilipinas kung siya ay mananalo pagka bise-presidente,” he added.
As a gesture of appreciation for volunteers’ help and support, Duterte wrote a note on an ISDA poster that read: “To all my ISDA friends in Bataan, thank you very much for all the love and support! Mahalin natin ang Pilipinas!”.
