San Pedro-AMB downs Paete-PGFlex

SAN Pedro City-AMB demolished Paete PGFlex, 92-72, to make it four wins in a row even as Calamba-Alta CalamBAGO, crushed San Pedro-Leads Agri, 83-63? for its third straight win In the 2022 National Basketball League (NBL) Inter-City basketball championship at ARS Warriors Sports Center in San Pedro City, Laguna.

Handled by coach Aaron Mendoza and team manager Mark Miranda, AMB got double-digit scores from five players to roll back Paete and remain unbeaten in this nine-team tournament organized by BAP Region 4 head Leonardo “Ding” Andres.

Daniel Manuel Austria, who was named “Best Player of the Game”, topscored with 26 points.

Seraj Elmejrab, Duke Thonas Madelo, Michael Joseph Homo added 12 points apiece and Rachel Sablaon had 11 points for AMB, which is being supported by Atty. Melvin A. Matibag and Cong. Ma. Rene Ann Lourdes C. Matibag.

Brian Ilad carried the fight for Paete-PG Flex with 12 points.

Paete dropped to 2-1.

The Francis Natividad-mentored Calamba City rode on the hot hands of Limwhel Calibo and Jan Henrick Natividad at the start of the final quarter to finish off San Pedro.

Calibo exploded with 20 points, including three straight three-pointers in the final quarter while Natividad scored 15 points for Calamba City of Mayor Roseller H. Rizal

John Lester Maurillo and Jonathan Ballon contributed 10 points each.

Mark Roca finished with 16 points for San Pedro, which sufffered itssecond loss in three matches.

Nasugbu-Divertex defeated Cabuyao City DenHa Tigers, 111-93, to barge into win column after three losses.

Dan Lord Magpantay scattered a game-high 33 points while Ehjay Canete added 20 points for Nasugbu-Divertex of coach Florencio Lana and team owner Vince Ochave and Danna Calingasan.

Sean De Luna and and playing coach Carlos Fenequito finished with 17 and 15 points for Cabuyao,which suffered its fourth straight setback.

In the last game, Mayor Arlene Arcillas’ Santa Rosa City outplayed Sto Tomas City – Mr. Cow, 64 61, for its third win in four matches.

The Lions of coach JayAr Dichoso and team managers Roy Lazaga and Ariel Arcillas rode on Sean Michael Sandoval’s 24 points.

John Ray Nunez carried the fight for Sto Tomas City- Mr. Cow with 17 points.

Sto Tomas remained winless in four games.
