ALL golf roads lead to Villamor Air Base Golf Club as the 8th Association of Philippine Journalists-Samahang Plaridel Foundation, Inc. Golf 2024 gets underway on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Now on its eighth year, the APJ- Samahang Plaridel Golf 2024 wil feature the country’s golfing journalists and friends in government and private sectors

Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard Bachmann and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairman Felix Reyes will lead the ceremonial tee off at 7 a.m.

This year’s tournament is organized by the APJ-Samahang Plaridel and sponsored by House Speaker Martin Romualdez, PSC, PAGCOR, PCSO, San Miguel Corporation, Rizal Park Hotel, Construction Workers Solidarity (CWS) Partylist, JD Legaspi Construction and Philippine Airlines.

Also supporting the tournament are Senate President Chiz Escudero, Sen.Win Gatchalian, Cong. Ace Barbers, Cong. Erwin Tulfo, Cong. Salvador Pleyto, Cong. Mike Defensor, Sec. Benhur Abalos, Mayor Isko Moreno, Meycauayan Mayor Henry R. Villarica, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna Mayor Arlene Arcillas, Gov. A Jetour Ice Cream electric vehicle, a Segway e-scooter and P100,000 in cash from Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) president Oliver Gan are at stake for the hole-in-one winners.

Samahang Plaridel President Evelyn Quiroz and Chairman Rolando Estabillo said the 18-hole golfest seeks to foster goodwill and camaraderie among golfing journalists and their friends.

Exciting prizes and giveaways will also be raffled off during the event aimed at raising fund for the various projects of Samahang Plaridel “We hope media golfers can gather for a friendly round of golf to unwind from our stressful day at the job,” said Estabillo.

Trophies await winners in two divisions: media and guest, while surprise merchandise items will be up for the traditional raffle.
