Saleslady killed in motorbike vs motorbike

A FEMALE back rider died while the motorcycle driver was injured after their vehicle collided with another motorcycle that allegedly beat the red light at the corner of Rizal Avenue Ext. and 7th Avenue Sunday evening in Caloocan City.

Remeny Mhae Omela, 19, saleslady and resident of Iriga St. La Loma Quezon City succumbed to severe head and body injuries while being rushed to Caloocan City Madical Center (CCMC) while Raymin Reloj, 43 of Tanada Subdivision, Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City sustained injuries in the head and body and is under observation at the Valenzuela City Medical Center.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina has ordered a manhunt for driver of the motorcycle that beat the red light identified as Chester Veneracion, 18, of 134 3rdSt., 7th Avenue, Grace Park who reportedly left after rushing Omela to the hospital.

Investigation by traffic investigator P/Cpl. Joemar Panigbatan showed that while the victims were travelling Rizal Avenue Extension at around 10:15 p,m., heading towards Bonifacio Monument Circle, they hit the motorcycle driven by Veneracion who suddenly crossed along 7th Avenue after allegedly beating the red light.

Police said the impact of the collision threw Reloj and his back rider off the motorcycle. Both victims landed on the cemented pavement, causing severe injuries to their heads and bodies.

Veneracion, who only sustained bruises rushed Omela to the hospital and allegedly left after giving his identity to the duty security guard.
