CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan offered a free RT-PCR test in response to the sudden spike of COVID-19 cases believed to be driven by Omicron variant.

People experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 started to line up at the regular testing sites and antigen testing in barangays to get free RT-PCR testing.

Despite being crowded by people who wanted to avail the free RT-PCR test, Mayor Oca is grateful by telling that this only shows how responsible citizens they are.

Meanwhile, vaccination against Covid-19 is still ongoing in the city for its residents and even for non-Caloocan residents.

The latest data released by the Caloocan City Health Department showed that 95.93% of the total target population of 1.2 million has been vaccinated with the first dose while 86.86% of the total target has been fully vaccinated or already got their second dose.
