Rosario leads Comelec’s “Operation Baklas”

ROSARIO, Cavite – The local election office here conducted the removal of illegal campaign posters in unauthorized areas according to the Commission on Election (Comelec) election campaign guidelines, Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Rosario, Cavite Election Officer Joan Erni leads the operation together with her staff of “Operation Baklas” – to remove illegal campaign posters from the stretch of General Trias-Tejero Road until around 20 villages in the said town.

“All candidates and political parties both local and national candidates, must place their campaign posters on the common posters areas, placing campaign materials and posters on government-owned properties are prohibited,” Erni said.

On the first day of operation, the local Comelec here collected around one truckload of illegal campaign posters in accordance with Section 91 of Campaign and Election Propaganda.

“We will roam around the entire Rosario town to remove all the illegal campaign paraphernalia,” Erni added.
