TACLOBAN CITY – UNITEAM senatorial candidate Harry Roque has slammed politicians who only show up during elections but hide in times of crisis.

Roque said that other politicians neglected Tacloban after Typhoon “Odette” ravaged it.

Roque also said that politicians who are “greedy of power” should not be elected.

Meanwhile, Roque said that public service should not be “politicized”.

In January, after super typhoon “Odette” devasted parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, Roque brought aid to Southern Leyte and Ubay, Bohol, and helped residents affected by the typhoon.

He also visited the beachfront homes in Limasawa Islands, which were washed away by the storm surge, and distributed relief goods.
