
Romualdez graces groundbreaking of Mabalacat City‘s New Government Center
MABALACAT, Pampanga – True Mabalaqueño House Speaker Martin Romualdez on Wednesday graced the commemoration of Mabalacat City’s 11th cityhood anniversary.
Romualdez is the son of the Most Outstanding Kapampangan awardee, Juliet Gomez-Romualdez, a native of Mabalacat.
With the theme “All Wins at Mabalacat City,” the event was spearheaded by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo while the groundbreaking ceremony for the city’s new government center was led by Speaker Romualdez.
Among those who attended the activity were Gov. Dennis Pineda, Vice Gov. Lilia Pineda, Congressmen Aurelio Gonzales and Jonjon Lazatin and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.
The anniversary celebrations coincided with the start of construction on the new government center, a symbol of the city’s progress and commitment to serve its constituents better.
Garbo, in his address, spoke about the new government center as a testament to the city’s continual growth. He expressed hope that it would be a beacon for future development and service to the people of Mabalacat.
At the same momentous event, the 4th Sangguniang Panglungsod, through Resolution 237, Series of 2023, gave due recognition to Romualdez.
The City Council headed by Vice Mayor Gerald Guttrie Aquino lauded the achievements and contributions of Romualdez, a distinguished statesman.
The resolution highlighted the Speaker’s roots as a true Mabalaqueño, being the son Juliet Gomez-Romualdez, a native of Mabalacat. His contributions to the nation were praised by the Council, emphasizing his dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
“In recognizing the House Speaker, we are also recognizing the remarkable contributions of all Mabalaqueños in various fields,” Mayor Garbo said .
“His leadership mirrors the spirit of our city – resilient, vigorous, and always striving for progress,” the mayor added.
The city, under the leadership of Mayor Garbo, looks to the future with optimism and a robust commitment to sustainable development and prosperity for all its residents.
After the groundbreaking, the public officials distributed 17 transport service vehicles from Mabalacat City for the Sangguniang Bayans of the province of Pampanga.
Garbo expressed his gratitude to the people of Mabalacat for their continued support and trust.
“This day symbolizes not only our present achievements but also our bright future. We are one in our pursuit of making Mabalacat City a place where everyone wins,” said the mayor, adding “All Wins at Mabalacat City.”
