ONCE again, here’s a last look at 2021. In the romance department, showbiz weddings started on January 17, 2021 when Alex Gonzaga weds Mikee Morada. This is followed on January 23 by Rocco Nacino and athlete Melissa Gohing in a military wedding held at Pier 13, South Harbor. Also on January 23, Lovely Abella and Benj Manalo exchange I do’s in Quezon City.

It’s also in January that Angelica Panganiban admitted she has found a new romance in her foreigner boyfriend who, at first, she refused to name. Later on, she said his name is Gregg Homan.

It’s also in January that Diego Loyzaga and Barbie Imperial admitted that they’re in a relationship. Diego was previously with Sofia Andres and Barbie with Paul Salas. Meryl Soriano revealed that she is living in with Joem Bascon and she has a new baby with Joem as the dad. Her first son was with Bernard Palanca. Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson finally admitted they had a baby boy in London.

In February, Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola have a secret wedding at the Farm in San Benito, Batangas but they announced it only in April. Miss World Philippines and courtside reporter Laura Lehman also marries PBA cager Von Pessumal in a civil wedding, while Gwen Zamora weds cager David Semerad in France.

Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica officially admit they’re engaged and they soon had a daughter. Romnick Sarmenta, ex of Harlene Bautista, admits his relationship with Barbara Ruaro and they now have a son.

In March, Anthony Semerad, brother of David, ties the knot with Sam Pinto here in Manila and they now have a daughter. Also in March, Dion Ignacio weds non-showbiz bride Aileen Sison in Cavite. They now have two kids.

Empress Schuck marries non-showbiz groom Vino Guingona in Tagaytay, Dionne Monsanto marries businessman Ryan Stadler in Switzerland while Beth Tamayo marries American Adam Hutchinson in San Francisco. Phoemela Baranda admits relationship with racer Jason Choachuy (ex of Rhian Ramos) and gives birth to their child named Ilya at the age of 41. It’s also in March that Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto finally admitted that they are indeed sweethearts.

In May, Melissa Rick faces the altar with non-showbiz fiance Michael Macatangay in California, while comedian Gladys Guevarra weds non-showbiz boyfriend Mike Navarette in Manila. It’s also in March that Kapamilya stars Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing admit that they are going steady.

In April, Arci Munoz and JM de Guzman announced that they’ve gotten married but later retracted it, saying it’s just a prank. It backfired on them and they were severely bashed. It is also in April that Maris Racal admitted she’s playing beautiful music with rocker Rico Blanco, despite their huge age gap.

On June 30, Ara Mina marries Dave Almarinez in a grand wedding in a chapel in Baguio. Also in June, DJ Mo and DJ Angelicopter (real names are Mohan Gumatay and Angelika Schmeing) exchange vows in Iceland. Another June Bride is actress Bianca King who weds Ralph Wintle (brother of Ben who’s married to Iza Calzado) in Sydney, Australia.

On July 25, Viva actress Yam Concepcion ties the knot with U.S.-based fiance Miguel Cu-Unjieng in New York City. Also in July, Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters weds Camarines Sur Gov. Migz Villafuerte in a civil wedding. And on July 26, Angel Locsin gets formally hitched to producer Neil Arce in a civil wedding officiated by Mayor Lino Cayetano of Taguig.

It is also in July that Bea Alonzo finally confessed that she is officially on with Dominic Roque and freely posted their sweet pictures while they’re together on a trip to the USA.

In August, former actress Juliana Palermo marries her American groom Joel Crabtree in the USA. Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez admits her relationship with Siargao resort owner Nino Barbers and they now have a baby boy.

Those who became official husband and wife in September are Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa in a civil wedding, JC de Vera and Rikkah Cruz in church after their civil wedding in 2018, and Kris Bernal and businessman Perry Choi in St. Alphonsus Liguori church in Magallanes on September 25.

In October, Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana face the altar in Batangas, while Angelo Patrimonio marries Jasmine Maierhofer also in Batangas. It’s also in October that Kris Aquino officially got engaged to former DILG Sec. Mel Sarmiento and Nadine Lustre comes out with her new French boyfriend in Siargao Island named Christopher Barriou.

There are three weddings in November. Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna exchange vows in Bagac, Bataan. Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado (now preggy) have a civil wedding. Ritz Azul weds non-showbiz groom Allan Guy in Baguio. It’s also in November that Edu Manzano and Cherry Pie Picache admit that they are in a relationship and their respective kids approve of it.
