Rice grant
THE national government has shown anew its genuine concern for the welfare of the country’s military and uniformed personnel.
In Administrative Order (AO) No. 26, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. ordered a grant of 25 kilos of rice to security forces.
Of course, this is in recognition of their contributions and to help these men and women in uniform cope with the rising costs of goods and services.
President Marcos authorized the rice assistance upon the recommendation of two state agencies.
These are the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
The rice grant will be given to uniformed personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Philippine Public Safety College, Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Coast Guard and the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.
The free rice will be distributed to recipients from December 2024 to March 2025 in designated warehouses of the National Food Authority.
In the eyes of the people, helping the uniformed personnel of the government and their dependents is a move in the right direction.
Like other Filipinos, we believe that concerned government authorities are in a position to protect the interests of our security forces.
Clearly, our dedicated men and women in uniform need the help of the government.
