CEBU City – POPULAR actor and game show host Willie Revillame has endorsed the vice presidential candidacy of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in the best way he knows how – through a song.

Performing “Ikaw na nga” – one of his signature songs – Revillame presented Duterte as the “Ilaw ng tahanan” to a jampacked audience during the Wowowin live episode Friday night at the Cebu City Sports Center.

“Inday Sara ang siyang kailangan ng bayan/ ang siyang magbibigay ng saya, ng ngiting kay tamis sa kanino man/ Inday Sara ang siyang ilaw ng tahanan/ sa piling mo, matatagpuan bukas na kay ganda sa ating bayan/ Sara, ikaw na nga,” were part of the lyrics that Revillame serenaded the lady official with in his reworked song.

After his performance, Revillame offered to help Duterte in her higher calling to serve the Filipino people.

“Magiging tulay ako ng bawat Pilipinong nangangailangan ng tulong,” he pledged.

Inday Sara chairs the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats and is the running mate of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer, former Sen. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. under the UniTeam alliance.

“Basta ma’am Sara, kung anong maitutulong namin sa ‘yo, kung anong maitutulong ko sa ‘yo, kung kailangan mo ako, walang kabayaran, wala. Ang gusto ko lang ang ngiti sa mga labi ng ating kababayan,” underscored Revillame.

Before Revillame’s song number, a short message to Inday Sara from her father President Rodrigo Duterte was played on the big screen.

“So ‘day, be true to your country, work hard for the people. And the rewards I think may be – are there, made in heaven. Not here. Trabaho ka lang and be good. I love you,” the elder Duterte said.
