SENATOR Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. on Thursday vowed to work hard in wooing Caviteños to vote for and ensure the victory of UniTeam presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and vice presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in next year’s presidential elections.

“Marunong po kaming mga Caviteño na tumanaw ng utang na loob. Susuporta po kami sa inyo (Mayor Sara) kahit saan kayo makarating. Susuporta rin po kami sa ating Pangulong Bongbong Marcos,” said Revilla, co-chairman of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD), during Thursday’s morning rally held at Nomo Mall parking lot here.

Bacoor City is one of the most populated areas in vote-rich Cavite.

Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, House Majority Leader and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez, senatorial aspirants Mark Villar, Harry Roque and Jinggoy Estrada, Councilor Alde Joselito F. Pagulayan and other key local officials also attended the rally.

Upon the prodding of Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado, Revilla recalled that Duterte, Lakas-CMD vice presidential candidate and Chairperson, granted their request to be included in the Hugpong ng Pagbabago’s (HNP) senatorial slate in 2019 polls.

Revilla was the 13th senatorial candidate supported by HNP of which the senator claimed made him win a Senate seat.

“Pinakiusapan ni Mayor Lani si Mayor Inday Sara. Sobrang bait ni Mayor Inday dahil pinayagan niya akong maging 13th candidate. Kung hindi ako nakasama, talo ako,” Revilla said.

Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, son of the Revilla couple, is running for congressman.

Cavite Rep. Strike Revilla, brother of the senator, will run for mayor while Lani Mercado eyes a return to the House of Representatives.

During her speech, Duterte underscored the importance for the Filipino people to support their message of unity to address all major problems besetting the country.

“Importante sa susunod na anim na taon na dapat magkaisa tayong lahat,” Duterte said, adding that a united nation will help provide better solution to the pandemic, economic problems and other social woes.

Following the consistent overwhelming support of the people in the recent UniTeam BBM-Sara caravan, Marcos told another huge crowd during a rally here that the Filipino people have started to embrace their message of unity.

“Ang tambalang Marcos-Duterte ay talagang ramdam na ramdam. Ang ating isinisigaw ay pagkakaisa ng buong sambayanang Pilipino,” Marcos said.

“Iyan po ang aming pinagkasunduan ni Mayor Inday Sara at talaga namang naging napakagandang simbolo ang pagsasama ng taga-Ilocos at taga-Davao,” Marcos added.

The BBM-Sara held a motorcade from Bacoor City to Mt. Sea Resort in Rosario, Cavite early morning Tuesday.

On late afternoon, scheduled were another motorcade from Rosario to Noveleta until Kawit and the lighting of the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit.
