Raps vs crime suspects urged
CONSUMER advocate RJ Javellana called on lawmakers to file cases in court against those involved in crimes, as revealed in the numerous hearings of the Quad Committee.
While the hearings are conducted in aid of legislation, the Quad Committee is also obligated to file cases against those involved in various crimes, including the killing of Wesley Barayuga, the P3 billion shabu bust at Empire 999, irregularities in Golden Sun Cargo, the PB Deck case, and the involvement of Rose Lin in the Pharmally and POGO cases.
This, according to Javellana, will show the seriousness of lawmakers in putting an end to the problems that plague the people.
If these cases are filed in court, the accused will have a chance to defend themselves, and Congress will have time to discuss other more important matters.
Javellana says that the lawmakers have the support of the people.
