THE Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) has filed charges against a Grab driver who allegedly posted a death threat against presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Twitter.

Brought for inquest before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office on Friday night was Michael Go, 49, of Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Quezon City for violation of Article 282 of the Revised Penal Code (grave threat) in relation to the Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The Marcos camp filed a complaint against Go on Wednesday, after the latter tweeted that he was ‘annoyed’ and planned to ‘gun down’ the candidate if the caravan passes near his place.

“I was blocked by Marcos, Jr. Pakisabi mag-ingat siya sa Tandang Sora QC. Pagdumaan siya dun babarilin ko siya di ako takot makulong. Hindi rin ako takot mamatay. Isang malaking karangalan ipaghigante mga kasama ko aktibista biktima ng martial law,” read the tweet posted from March 15 but is now deleted.

But Go vehemently denied all of the allegations made against him claiming that he doesn’t have a Twitter account.

In February, a Tiktoker got himself in trouble when he was accused of posting on Tiktok an alleged plot to assassinate Marcos Jr.

Ruel “Bong” Ricafort supposedly posted on Tiktok: “Nagmemeeting kami araw-araw para paghandaang ipa aasassinate namin si BBM humanda kayo.”

Ricafort refuted involvement in the supposed plot to assassinate Marcos, claiming his TikTok account was hacked by still unknown individuals or group.

However, Ricafort admitted that he’s a supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo being the captain of Bikers for Leni of San Juan-Metro Manila chapter.

” Yes po (I’m a supporter of Robredo). I’m the team captain of Bikers for Leni in San Juan,” Ricafort said.
