Rape suspect nabbed in Paete
A 37-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for rape Tuesday night in Paete, Laguna.
Laguna Police Provincial Director PCol. Serafin Petalio II in a report to CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen. Eliseo DC Cruz, identified the arrested suspect as Mart Mia, of A.L. Herradura St., Bgy. Nanhaya, Victoria, Laguna.
The suspect is ranked as the 7th most wanted person in the provincial level in Laguna.
Paete police arrested the suspect at 8:30 p.m. in Sitio Patahan, Bgy. Ibaba del Norte, Paete, Laguna, led by PCpt. Christian Landicho, acting chief of police, Victoria.
Mia was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Suwerte L. Ofrecio, Regional Trial Court, Branch 26, Sta Cruz, Laguna for violation of R.A. 8353 (Rape through Sexual Assault) with criminal case number SC-22240.
The accused is detained at the custodial facility of Victoria MPS, Victoria, for proper disposition.
