SANTA CRUZ, Laguna – GOVERNOR Ramil Hernandez on Thursday said Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is no ordinary mayor, deserving to be the country’s next vice president.
Siya ay mapagkakatiwalaan sa isang siyudad at pwede ring pagkatiwalaan sa mas malaking area ng katungkulan,” Hernandez said during the “meet-and-greet” with the Barangay Volunteers Workers & Barangay Nutrition Scholars/BNS Serbisyong Tama Kababaihan “STK” presidents at the Laguna Sports Complex.
Hernandez said although he has accepted several requests for courtesy calls from other politicians visiting the province of Laguna, he has never invited someone from the national government except during Friday’s event
After three visits of Duterte in Laguna, this is the first time that Hernandez announced his support for the UniTeam vice presidential bet.
He also lauded Duterte for being a competent leader which made her the top-performing mayor in the Philippines with a 98% satisfaction rate based on a recent RP Mission and Development Foundation, Inc. survey.
“Nalampasan niya ang kanyang ama na 86%,” he added.
Hernandez vowed to give his all-out support in gratitude for the help extended to Laguna by Mayor Sara’s father, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (PRRD).
In 2018, PRRD has approved a P3.9-billion budget for cash assistance for low-income residents of Bataan and Laguna affected by the heightened Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A separate meet-and-greet with the barangay health and day care workers was also conducted in a different building at the Laguna Sports Complex.
