THERE’S no stopping IM Cris Ramayrat, Jr. of the Manila Indios Bravos yet.

..Ramayrat, who earned the reputation as the “Fastest Man Alive”in local chess during the 80s, continued to lead the way as the top individual scorer in the 2021 PCAP-GM Wesley So Cup chess championships.

The 63-year-old Ramayrat already has 63 points on 40 wins, two draws and four losses while playing the senior board for Manila.

GM Oliver Barbosa of San Juan Predators is second with 57.5 points on 35 wins, seven draws and two losses, while NM Joey Albert Florendo of Zamboanga Sultans is third with 54.5 points on 35 wins, three draws and eight losses.

Completing the top five scorers were IM Jan Emmanuel Garcia of Caloocan Load Manna Knights, who has 53.5 points on 32 wins, nine draws and five losses; and WIM Jan Jodilyn Fronda of San Juan, who has 51.5 points on 32 wins, four draws and four losses.

The other top scorers were GM Darwin Laylo of Pasig Pirates, sixth with 51.5 points on 27 wins, 15 draws and four losses; WGM Mai Hung Nguyen of ISabela Knight Raiders, seventh with 50.5 points on 31 wins, two draws and five losses; NM John Michael Silvederio of Iloilo Kisela Knights, eighth with 50.5 points on 31 wins, six draws and nine losses; WIM Bernadette Galas of Cordova Dutchess Dagami Warriors, ninth with 50.5 points on 29 wins, eight draws and nine losses; and GM Viktor Moskalenko of San Juan, 10th with 50 points on 31 wins, five draws and eight losses.

In 11th to 15th places were IM ronny Gunawan of Antipolo Cobras with 50 ponts on 28 wins, 10 darws and eight losses; Christian Mark Daluz of Camarines Soaring Eagles with 49.5 points on 32 wins, two draws and nine losses; Vince Angelo Medina of Laguna Heroes with 49.5 points on 32 wins, two draws and 10 losses: Cristy Lamiel Bernales of Antipolo with 49 points on 33 wins nand 13 losses; and Allan Pason of Cordova with 49 points on 30 wins, five draws and 11 losses.

Completing the Top 25 players were Bryle Arellano of Cordova, NM Ronald Llavanes of Camarines, GM Mark Paragua of Camarines, Cesar Mariano of Iloilo, FM Nelson Villanueva of Caloocan, IM Paulo Bersamina of Caloocan, WGM Marie Sebag of Camarines, Kimuel Aaron Lorezno of Laguna, IM Rico Mascarinas of Toledo and WIM Sherily Cua of Pasig.
