GAPAN CITY – Police seized illegal drugs worth over P25,000 and an unlicensed gun during the implementation of two search warrants at the house of a suspected drug personality here on Thursday morning.

Raided was the house of Gener Pangilinan, 26, single, media tech employee, in Bgy. San Vicente, this city at 6:20 a.m.

In a report to acting Nueva Ecija provincial police director Col. Rhoderick B. Campo, city police head Lt. Col. Alexie A. Desamito said the twin search operations resulted in the confiscation of 20 plastic sachets containing shabu having a street value of P23,500 and a cal.38 revolver without serial number loaded with five bullets.

Desamito said the suspect eluded arrest as he was not around during the operation.

“Negative po ang suspect, malikot po simula nang manlaban yong kabarkada nya dito sa Gapan last time dahil involved din sa droga,” Desamito texted the Journal Group on Friday.

The police chief said the search operation was personally witnessed by the suspect’s family and representatives of the Department of Justice, media and the Sangguniang Barangay here.

Separate charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are slapped against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office here.
