QUEZONIAN WINS “MS. PHIL CANADA 2023” TITLE
Julia Marie Dueñas, a native of Lucena City in Quezon province was crowned MISS PHILIPPINES CANADA 2023 during Saturday’s pageant held at Toronto in Ontario, Canada. The 23 year- old morena is the only daughter of couple Gerry and Vivian Dueñas, who has been residing in Canada for fifteen years. She is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at McMaster University. During the pageant’s talent portion, Julia Marie performed a unique number on the Marimba accompanied by her mom on the piano and her dad on the guitar where they performed, “Lawiswis Kawayan”. Quezon Governor Angelina Tan and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala were one in congratulating Julia who had paid visit to their respective offices during her short vacation before the pageant.
