Quezon vice mayor hurt in road mishap

PITOGO, Quezon – The municipal vice mayor and a town councilor were wounded along with two others in a road accident at Barangay Amontay on Saturday morning.

Police identified the injured as Paul Timothy Villaflor, 42, and town Councilor Alexander Abrencillo Mosquite, 43.

Probers said the incident happened at 11:30 a.m. while Villaflor was driving his Toyota RAV 4 with Mosquite as his passenger.

While approaching a curved portion of the road, Villaflor allegedly lost control of the wheel and accidentally smashed a house fence and an electric post owned by Quezon Electric Cooperative (QUEZELCO).

On impact, the duo suffered injuries in their bodies.

They were rushed to RAKKK Hospital in Gumaca, Quezon, for medical treatment.
