SARIAYA, Quezon – The bad weather brought by Super Typhoon Pepito did not prevent operatives from carrying out their mission to arrest two suspected big-time drug pushers in this coastal town.

Quezon police director Col. Ruben Lacuesta identified the arrested suspects as alias “Chan-Chan,” 26, a Shoppee courier, and alias “Michael,” 29, listed as a “high-value” individual , both residents of Bgy. Malabanban Sur, Candelaria, Quezon.

Lacuesta said the suspects were arrested during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Sariaya Police Station under Lt. Col. Carlo Caceres in Bgy. Guis – Guis Talon, this municipality.

Seized were some P6.9-million worth of shabu.

The official said also recovered were the eight pieces of P1,000 bills used as marked money.

The Honda Click black motorcycle with plate number 715OPB used by the suspects was impounded by the police.

Caceres said the operation was recorded through the use of an alternative recording device.

He said appropriate charges have been filed against the duo.

The official added that eventhough they are so busy these days due to the typhoon, they remain focused on their anti-criminality drive.
