Quezon cops arrest HVI, seize P6.9M shabu,
LUCENA CITY — The Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) has scored anew with the seizure of almost seven hundred thousand pesos worth of illegal drugs.
Colonel Ruben Lacuesta, the Quezon police director, announced the arrest ofalias “Joel”, 33, of Bgy. Sta. Cecilia, Tagkawayan, Quezon.
Lacuesta said the suspect has been included in the drug watchlist and considered a “high-value” individual (HVI).
He said the arrest was triggered by the confiscation of one kilo and fifteen grams of shabu worth P6,902,000 during a drug buy-bust carried out by joint elements of the Quezon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station.
Police disclosed that the illegal drugs were transhipped from Metro Manila by the suspect’s contact.
Approriate charges have been filed against the suspect before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
Just crecently, police arrested two suspected big-time drug pushers and seized 1 kilo and 25 grams of shabu in an operation in Bgy. Guis – Guis Talon in this coastal town.
One of the suspects is listed as a HVI.
