P/COL. Melecio Buslig Jr., Acting Director of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), has said recropping efforts are ongoing in the garden of the QCPD headquarters and different police stations to maximize available spaces by replanting new crops after each harvest.

The recropping also aims to ensure consistent supply of fresh vegetables, the police colonel added.

It also supports the urban agriculture program, which encourages each QCPD personnel to participate in sustainable farming.

As of January 27, 2025, the QCPD has planted 9,388 vegetable crops and 873 fruit-bearing trees with a total harvest value of P64,412.

“Ang re-cropping sa ating urban gardens patunay na ang QCPD hindi lang tagapagtanggol ng katahimikan kundi katuwang din sa pagpapanatili ng isang mas luntiang at mas masaganang Quezon City,” P/Col. Buslig Jr. said.
