QCPD deploys more patrol cops
WHILE other field officers are intensifying police visibility in streets and strategic areas as crime deterrents, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) leadership assured the citizenry that uniformed personnel continue to cover religious areas or places of worship.
Acting QCPD director Colonel Melecio Buslig Jr. said that they will not lower their guards to ensure every QCitizen feels secure and keeps the city safe.
He said that a total of 252 police personnel actively participated in religious services in different churches and places of religious convergence and at the same time extended protection to the worshippers from January 13-19 under Oplan Bathala program.
Oplan Bathala aims to foster stronger relationships between the police and the community while maintaining peace and order, especially during large gatherings.
Since day one of his assumption of command, Buslig Jr. has included in his priorities to provide increased police visibility in religious areas to ensure the safety of worshippers, devotees and the general public.
“Isa sa mga pangunahing layunin ng Project Bathala ay tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mamamayan sa kanilang pananampalataya. Sa presensiya ng ating kapulisan sa mga simbahan, nais naming bigyan ng kapanatagan ang ating mga kababayan,” the QC top cop stressed.
