QC posts 97% COVID recovery rate
THE Quezon City government has logged a 97.97 percent recovery rate from coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
As of 8 a.m. Thursday, the city government reported a total of 173,923 individuals who have recovered from the virus.
The city’s active cases have also gone down to 2,081 or 1.17 percent of the total infections.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 death rate in the city is at a low 0.86 percent or a total of 1,528.
The QC Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) clarified that these data are always being updated and changed as the city government continues to intensify its community based COVID-19 testing.
“Dumadaan sa validation ng CESU, health center staff at mga opisyal ng barangay ang datos na mula sa DOH para masigurong sila ay residente ng QC ,” the city governments post reads.
The villages in QC that recorded the highest number of active Covid-19 cases include Barangay Pasong Tamo in District 6 with 127 active cases followed by Barangay Batasan Hills and Payatas, both in District 2 that recorded 117 and 81 active Covid-19 cases each.

As of Wednesday, QC has now been classified as low-risk by the Octa Research Group. Philippine News Agency
