A big group of political leaders in vote-rich Quezon City led by former 4th District Rep. Nanet Castelo Daza is endorsing the presidential candidacy of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

“We believe in the capability of Mayor Isko to lead the country. He will be a unifying President the country needs amid a pandemic we all have been suffering from for almost two years now without an end in sight,” Daza said.

Daza said she and her colleagues are excited about Moreno’s “youth and dynamism, and his aksyon agad and clean track record.”

“We have not heard of any allegation of corruption against him, unlike others in government,” she said.

Daza added that her group includes Councilor Imee Rillo, former Councilors Marvin Rillo, Rachel Malangen and Jem Castelo.

Leading congressional candidate in District 4 and former Councilor Marvin Rillo is also posed to join the Mayor Isko’s group.

Earlier former Councilors Ariel Inton, Dante De Guzman and Rommel Abesamis joined the bandwagon to Isko’s camp.

The former congresswoman is lead convener in Quezon City of Ikaw Muna Pilipinas, a broad nationwide coalition of Moreno’s supporters.

Daza said their group is wooing other incumbent and former political leaders in the city to join them.

Among their prospective recruits are former Councilors Roderick Paulate and Martin Leachon of District 2, Mutya Castelo of District 5, and Karl Paguio of District 6, and others.
