QC opens energy-saving Christmas parol-making contest
THE 4th environment-friendly and energy-saving Christmas Parol-Making Contest in Quezon City is now open to all interested city residents.
QC vice mayor Gian Sotto encouraged creative-minded individuals to join the competition where big prizes await the winners.
Dubbed “Kumukutikutitap 4: Maningning na Pasko ng Pamilyang Pilipino,” participants were advised to submit entries that should be 80 to 100 percent made of recycled materials and battery-operated.
For the solar-powered ones, Sotto said it must be with bulbs of up to 30 watts only.
In partnership with ETON Centris and ETON Properties Philippines Inc., the parol-making tourney also benefits barangays which will have a share of the prize their constituent gets.
The first placer will get P30,000 cash. The barangay where he/she resides also gets P30,000.
The second placer gets P20,000 and P15,000 for the third placer.
Entries must adhere to the theme, craftsmanship, durability, creativity, and originality. Entries must not contain any political affiliation, statements or advertisements.
