AT least 140 vaccination sites in Quezon City are now operating in the city’s six districts to further improve access to vaccination against COVID-19 for its residents and workers.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said that they are expanding and intensifying their vaccination program to accommodate the city’s eligible population, estimated at 2.8 million residents, including 5 to 11 years old.

“This figure does not include the thousands of non-resident workers who also get their shots in the city,” Belmonte said.

These sites are comprised of health centers, malls, schools, community venues, churches, and special venues such as the Smart Araneta Coliseum and the Quezon Memorial Circle.

The city also conducts vaccinations inside subdivisions and private workspaces, government agencies, care homes, and other closed institutions.

Home vaccinations for bedridden and differently-abled populations continue to be conducted, as are drive-thru jabs in several mall parking lots.

Most recently, pharmacy-based inoculations have begun in coordination with the Department of Health.

QC Vax to Normal Action Officer Dr. Maria Lourdes Eleria, meanwhile, said that individuals and families interested to be vaccinated are advised to check the schedules and venues posted on the Quezon City Government’s Facebook page.

Vaccination sites located in malls such as SM North Edsa Skydome, Trinoma Mall, Ayala Fairview Terraces, SM Novaliches, Robinsons Magnolia, among others, accept a limited number of walk-ins who must claim a stub and return for their shots at the time indicated on the stub.

Other sites also welcome walk-ins when the supply at each site exceeds the doses needed by the number of registered vaccinees, and the same system applies as in mall sites.

Individuals may register to be vaccinated through the QC VaxEasy Portal www.qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy. The city government posts the schedule and the vaccination sites on their official website, www.quezoncity.gov.ph and official Facebook page – Quezon City Government. QCitizens may also register at their respective barangays to book their vaccination schedules. Limited walk-in slots are also available in mall vaccination sites.
