QC court to hear publication’s complaint
THE Quezon City Regional Trial Court (QCRTC) has scheduled a hearing on August 2, 2022, on the complaint of a progressive media publication seeking to nullify a memorandum order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) blocking access to websites of groups and individuals allegedly linked to communist groups.
This, even as the court recently denied Bulatlat’s plea for the issuance of a temporary restraining order and/or Writ of Preliminary Injunction against the NTC’s order.
In the complaint, Bulatlat thru counsel National Union of People’s Lawyers (NUPL) said the challenged NTC memorandum has no basis in law.
