QC cops nan drug suspect, seize over P.5M shabu
AROUND P.5 million worth of suspected shabu was seized from a man arrested in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City last Sunday, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) acting director P/Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said.
The suspect, Cristito Celestino Beni, 38, yielded P550,800 worth of shabu weighing 81 grams during his arrest.
Based on the report, Payatas Bagong Silangan police station under P/Lt. Col Rolando Baula conducted a buy-bust at 9:00 a.m. at 296 General Canon St., Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.
During the transaction, a police officer posed as a buyer and bought P1,000 worth of shabu from the suspect. Upon receiving the pre-arranged signal, the suspect was immediately arrested.
Recovered from the suspect were the shabu, a .38 caliber pistol with seven live ammunition, a cellular phone, a light brown eco bag and the marked buy-bust money used in the transaction.
The suspect will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s office.
