QC cops nab man for various cases
OPERATIVES of the Quezon City police Novaliches station arrested a suspect for various violations last Monday.
P/Lt. Col. Josef Geoffrey Lyndon Lim, commander of QC police station 4, identified the suspect as John Carlo Mercene, 27.
Based on the report, Mercene’s victim was walking along Villareal St., Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City at around 3:00 a.m. when Mercene suddenly appeared, armed with an unknown gun and at gunpoint, threatened the victim.
Fortunately, the victim managed to escape and sought assistance from the police.
The policemen responded to the area which resulted in the suspect’s arrest. However, during his arrest, the suspect defied lawful orders, became unruly and resisted by kicking the operatives.
Despite his resistance, the policemen successfully subdued the suspect.
Further investigation revealed that Mercene was involved in numerous cases of murder, frustrated murder and violation of R.A 11235 or the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act.
