QC cop faces raps for robbing courier company in Bulacan

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A police officer is facing criminal and administrative charges for allegedly robbing a courier company Monday in Bulacan.

Bulacan police provincial director Col. Lawrence Cajipe said the police was informed that a man wearing black sweater and black bonnet with an orange helmet who rode a black plateless Yamaha motorcycle robbed an LBC branch in Bgy. Camias, San Miguel, Bulacan around 1 p.m. on Monday.

A flash alarm was immediately sent to adjacent police stations as a pursuit operation was conducted by members of the San Ildefonso, San Miguel and Cabanatuan police stations that resulted in the arrest of the suspect Cpl. Moises Yango, 29, assigned at the Quezon City Police District and resident of Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, in Bgy. Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

Seized from the suspect were a hand grenade, a loaded .9mm Pietro Beretta, eight live bullets, a wallet containing his PNP ID, driver’s license, other identification cards, ATM cards and the P5,000 cash loot. By BERNARD GALANG & MELNIE RAGASA-JIMENA
