PYD Tatluhan kicks off in Lucban

THE Pinoy Youth Dreamers (PYD) Tatluhan National Finals presented by Converge Fiber X kicks off at the Batis Aramin Hotel and Resort in Lucban, Quezon on Nov. 26-27.

The two- day competition will be participated in by champions of different regional legs.

The teams are coming from Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, Baguio, Bulacan, Montalban Rizal, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Alabang, Lucban and Lucena.

The tournament is divided into six different categories, namely, U13 (2009), U15 (2007), U17 (2005), U19 (2003), U23 (1999) and Women’s Open.

“Our main objective is to get as many points for our national teams. As an amateur, ang gusto natin ay makakuha ng points para sa FIBA Olympic campaign.” said PYD Founder/Coach Beaujing Acot.

“Nakakuha tayo ng 436,047 points sa 14 legs na ginawa natin para sa 2022 and hopefully by next year, by God’s grace, we will be able to gather as much as one million points.” added Acot.

He said the PYD would like to thank their sponsors, Converge FiberXers Governor Chito Salud, JH Athletics Apparels, Chacha Go Philippines,Mang Ambo, CssGivesph and PYD Cares.

“Ang objective din natin is not only to gather points but to look for players that possible na mabigyan ng scholarships at makapaglaro dito sa Metro Manila. So basically we’re looking for standout athletes na makakatulong sa grassroots ng PYD.”

The tournament is sanctioned by the Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP) with Bujoy Magno as commissioner and Melki Villanueva as deputy commissioner.
