This is how Gabriela party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas described the abuses allegedly committed by Apollo Quiboloy, a sect leader who is facing several cases.

Brosas has called for justice for the victims of Quiboloy and she also proposed an investigation on ex-President Rodrigo Duterte and all officials who aided Quiboloy in hiding.

Meanwhile, in light of the recent harrowing details of Quiboloy’s crimes, the Gabriela Women’s Party has registered unwavering support to the victims of his alleged abuses, especially those who may still be living in fear and silence.

“The details about Quiboloy’s alleged crimes are the work of someone who is pure evil. It is a grave injustice that Quiboloy has operated with impunity in Mindanao for decades, possibly leaving behind a trail of countless victims who have been too terrified to speak out,” Brosas said.

“Kailangang mabigyan ng agarang suporta ang mga biktima, lalo na ng proteksyon at legal assistance,” she added.

The lady lawmaker said that Quiboloy must face the fullest extent of the law for the crimes he has committed against women and children.

“Dapat mabulok sa kulungan si Quiboloy. Hindi rin siya dapat bigyan ng special treatment na kadalasang ginagawa sa mga mayayaman at may kapit sa gobyerno. All those who aided and abetted his actions, including powerful figures and public officials, must be held accountable,” she stressed.

Brosas said there should be a thorough investigation into Duterte’s long-standing association with Quiboloy.

“Duterte’s role as Quiboloy’s spiritual adviser and his potential involvement in shielding him from justice must be scrutinized, especially given Duterte’s recent appointment as administrator of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ’s properties,” Brosas said.

“We cannot allow this culture of impunity and fear to persist. No one should be above the law, and the cries for justice from these young girls must be heard and acted upon without delay,” she added.
