Proposed Pacquiao, Ping meetings bared
A PDP-LABAN official on Tuesday confirmed the proposed meetings between Senators Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao and Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson regarding plans for the 2022 presidential polls.
Earlier, Lacson disclosed that Pacquiao has plans to run for presidenct in the 2022 national elections.
Lacson also confirmed that Pacquiao has approached him several times regarding his plans for the 2022 plans.
In a virtual press conference with the Senate Media, PDP-Laban National Executive Director Ron Munsayac said the two senators are still not meeting formally though there has been proposed meetings.
Meanwhile, Munsayac also reacted to the possible tandem between Pacquiao and President Rodrigo Duterte for the next elections.
“Wala pa namang nagdedeklara. Lahat ay ispekulasyon lang. ‘Yan po ay isang malaking posibilidad, pero hindi pa nagdedecide si Pangulong Duterte to run for Vice Presidency,” Munsayac said.
When talk about on the possibility of PDP-Laban supporting candidate outside the party as standard bearer, Munsayac said “Bakit kukuha pa sa labas kung meron namang available na malakas sa loob.”
