CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) joined the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the commemoration of its 121st Police Service Anniversary last August 25 at the Makatao Activity Center, Camp Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, with PNP Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., as the guest of honor and speaker.

Based on the records of the National Historical Commission, “Police service” as an institution takes its roots in the Insular Police Force, which was created on August 8, 1901.

This year’s anniversary theme “Matibay na ugnayan ng pulisya at Mamamayan, Tungo sa pagkakaisa, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” aptly manifests the PNP and PRO3’s continuing partnership for sustained proficiency and excellence in law enforcement towards a “stable peace and order” particularly in Region 3.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen said the activity was highlighted with the message of Azurin and the giving of recognition to deserving PNP personnel and the best units in the region who have contributed vastly to the upliftment of PNP-PRO3.

In his message, the PNP chief lauded the men and women of PRO3 for continuously doing their jobs efficiently.

Azurin stressed that all PNP personnel should reaffirm their commitment to police service and keep focusing on doing their work, especially now that the police have the “daunting” task of eradicating illegal drugs.

“Guided by the peace and security framework dubbed ‘Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan, tungo sa Kaunlaran’ or simply put ‘MKK = K’, let us continue to stand in solidarity as we work together for the full realization of the government’s aspiration of a safer, peaceful, more progressive and stronger equitable society. Ang katuparan ng ating misyon ay bunga pa rin ng inyong ipinakitang dedikasyon sa serbisyo, disiplina sa sarili at higit sa lahat malasakit sa kapwa,” the PNP top cop said.
