Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Regional 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay ordered a thorough investigation into the killing of a barangay chairman running for city councilor Saturday in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Baccay said the victim, Alvin Mendoza, 52, a barangay chairman running for city councilor, resident of Purok 3, Bgy. Alasas, City of San Fernando, was in an SUV (plate number CAB 2309) and going to Bgy. Magliman, when ambushed by two men on a motorcycle.

Baccay immediately ordered the creation of a special task group headed by the Pampanga police director for the speedy identification and apprehension of the suspects as well as the protection of other family members of the victim.
