CAMP QUINTIN MERECIDO, Buhangin, Davao City – A drug den in Digos City on Tuesday was smashed by PRO11 (Police Regional Office 11) personnel and arrested five high-value targets (HVT).

PRO11 Director Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr. said members of the Davao del Sur Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Intelligence Unit of Digos City Police Station together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Davao del Sur, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and 1st Davao Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company raided a drug den in Purok Kalingkatan, Sitio Punta Biao, Cogon, Digos City.

Silo said the drug den was being operated by a high-value target named only as alias “Gaw”, who escaped during the raid.

Arrested in the operation were Enrile Sapie, Alvie Sapie, Abdulami Ali, Jimmy T. Sapie, and Nevo Sahiron.

Recovered from the suspects were five plastic sachets of shabu worth at least P225,000, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money.

Silo reaffirms the commitment of PRO11 to make Davao a “drug-free” region after conducting the successful operation.
