PRO 9 cops nab 9 drug suspects
AGENTS of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-9 arrested 9 drug suspects in Western Mindanao in a series of anti-narcotics operations in the region and hauled over P450,000 worth of shabu, PRO9 director Brigadier General Bowenn Joey M. Masauding told the Journal Group yesterday.
One of the suspects, identified as John Paul Enderez, 19, from Sitio Quarry, Barangay Kagawasan in Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur was arrested in a buy-but operation in Purok 1, Bgy. Bag-ong Oroquita in Guipos municipality.
The suspect yielded 40 grams of shabu valued at P272,000 and P70,000 worth of buy-bust money.
The 2nd suspect, Arldyzar Tilao, 46, of Purok 1, Bgy. Carbon in Isabela City, Basilan yielded P20,400 worth of shabu during a sting in Bgy. Carbon last Sunday while the 3rd suspect Gil Allison Luy, 36, yielded five grams of the illegal drugs\ valued at P34,000 during a raid in his residence in Bgy. Barra in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte last Tuesday.
A 4th suspect, Rene Solas Jr., 46, was arrested in Natividad St. in Bgy. Tetuan in Zamboanga City last Monday.
His arrest led in the recovery of P6,800 worth of shabu while the 5th suspect, Brian Responso, 31, was arrested in Purok 7 in Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay which resulted in the recovery of two grams of shabu worth P13,600.
Masauding said the 6th suspect, Melvin Seno, 34, yielded about 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000 during a sting in Purok 3 in Bgy. Malagutay in Zamboanga City late evening Wednesday.
“This is part of our stepped-up campaign against illegal drug trafficking and abuse in the entire Western Mindanao region as ordered by Philippine National Police chief General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. and DILG chief Benjamin C. Abalos Jr.,” said the PRO 9 director.
