A Criminal Investigation and Detection Group official said the arrested suspect was nabbed
on the strength Warrant of Arrest for murder issued by Judge Rene Deveza Natividad, Regional Trial Court Branch 107 Assisting Judge in Laguna Banos, Laguna on Oct. 22, 2021.
The former town councilor was included Most Wanted Person Regional level number 6 in Calabarzon for the murder of Mayor Perez last December 3 , 2020.
Perez had just arrived at his office from a body massage at around 8:00 when the unidentified gunman shot him in the back near the municipal hall. He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital from five gunshot wounds in the head and body.
