A MONTH after strengthening and renewing their commitment to serve the public together through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and RMN (Radio Mindanao Network) Foundation co-organized a bloodletting activity at the PRC Cavite Chapter on April 26.

Dubbed as “Dugtong-Buhay 2023 Caravan,” the bloodletting activity, which was held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., collected a total of 37 blood units.

Enrique Canoy, Corporate Communications Head of RMN Networks, explained that RMN Networks and the PRC shared the same vision, “[The RMN and PRC] have the same heart, the heart of service for Filipinos… to serve as many people as possible.” He added that by involving more people in this public service event, both organizations can help more people in need.

Earlier this year, PRC and RMN Foundation conducted a similar activity in General Santos City. The Dugtong Buhay 2023 Caravan plans to reach communities in Bulacan and Rizal in May and June as well.

PRC Chairman and CEO Richard J. Gordon expressed appreciation and gratitude to RMN, saying that the cooperation between the two organizations is highly important as the media giant assists PRC in disseminating information, such as its activities, including rescue, relief, and recovery of people made vulnerable by disasters and health emergencies, and the call for blood donations.

For blood donations, blood requests, and other inquiries, email the PRC National Blood Services at [email protected] or contact the PRC Blood Call Center, which may be reached nationwide by dialing 143.
