Police-vlogger accused of rape now in PNP custody
A POLICE Non-Commissioned Officer who sidelines as a “vlogger” is now under the custody of his superiors after being accused of allegedly drugging and raping a woman inside his cock farm in Batangas.
Philippine National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo said that the accused identified as Police Senior Master Sergeant Teejay Virtucio has been placed under restrictive custody at the Police Regional Offie 4-A headquarters in Camp Vicente Lim in Laguna since last January 10.
“He has been disarmed, stripped of his badge and is now undergoing an administrative and criminal investigation,” the official said.
The accused could not be immediately contacted for comment on the charges against him.
Fajardo said a co-accused of Virtucio who was identified as an employee of the cockpit arena the latter was allegedly operating is still being hunted as of press time.
She said that the accused policeman is now facing an administrative investigation for grave misconduct, an offense that will merit his dismissal from the police service once found guilty.
The criminal case against the accused will be filed once the victim, who was confined to the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital, is finally released from treatment and is well enough to testify against the suspects.
“According to the Batangas police director, hindi pa makausap ng maayos yung victim at affected daw ang kanyang mental health due to trauma. We are continuing our talks with her family and we assure everybody this will not be tolerated,” said Fajardo.
The PNP spokesperson said that based on a medico-legal report released last January 21, the victim was found to have suffered “trauma and penetration” on her private parts.
She added that they are also waiting for the toxicology report , which will determine if the victim was indeed “drugged” or offered with a drug-induced drink before being sexually abused as the latter had claimed before she was brought to the hospital.
“Very sensitive and delicate ang case na ito pero we have been told that the family is ready to file charges against the suspects once bumuti na ang condition ng victim,” Fajardo said.
